Chelsea Devantez
Chelsea Devantez is an Emmy-nominated writer, national bestselling author, comedian, director, and host of the podcast Glamorous Trash. Prior to signing an overall television deal with 20th Century Fox, Chelsea served as Jon Stewart’s Head Writer on Apple TV+'s The Problem with Jon Stewart. Her television credits include Not Dead Yet, Girls5Eva, Bless This Mess, Abbys, The Opposition with Jordan Klepper, and The Gong Show. She began her TV writing career when Jon Stewart hired her off of a blind packet submission for his untitled HBO show, which was in production for a year.
Chelsea's debut memoir, I Shouldn't Be Telling You This (but I'm Going To Anyway), was published in June 2024 by Hanover Square Press, an imprint of HarperCollins. Her memoir became a national bestseller and was featured prominently in airport bookstores across America. Amazon named her memoir an Editor's Pick and Bestseller, while Booklist awarded it a starred review. It was recommended as a must-read by UsWeekly, Nylon, Elle, Bustle, PureWow, SheReads, BookRiot, and NPR. Jon Stewart praised the book, saying, 'Fucking great. She didn’t tell me it was gonna be fucking great!!! Figured… some cute essays… anecdotes… holy shit, though. Raw, intimate, hilarious, actually inspiring… what the fuck! Her upbringing reads like Flannery O’Connor or some shit!' Jenny Lawson said, 'I finished it in a single night. Funny, authentic, and unique. Love.’ Rachel Dratch said “It’s like if a comedian punched up The Glass Castle,” among other glowing reviews.
In 2020, Chelsea wrote, directed, and starred in the SXSW film Basic, which won 'Best Comedy' at the Hollywood Film Festival. She is set to direct her feature based on the award-winning short this fall with Marc Platt Productions producing.
Chelsea’s independent podcast, Glamorous Trash, has amassed over 5 million downloads and is consistently a top-performing podcast on the books and arts charts.

Sagas
There have been some sagas. As of late, a wedding dress saga, a late-night show hiring saga, a needy quarantine dog saga. When a saga occurs, I write about it, here.
